Every year the Foundation grants individuals and organisations within our community funds to support the achievement of their aims.
Since 2002 the Foundation has distributed over one million dollars across the Bass Coast region to individuals and organisations in support of:
- Education and development
- Equity for women and girls
- Performing arts
- Energy innovation
- Learner drivers
- And more.
Grant Eligibility
To be eligible for grant opportunities recipients will need to hold Charitable and Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) 1 Status.
Community Grants 2023
During 2023 the Bass Coast Community Foundation has directly supported Back to School Vouchers for needy children, Kids as Catalysts program run by Kids Thrive and the special L2P program for older women run through Mitchell House in Wonthaggi.
Community Grants 2024
The community grant program for 2024 is driven to boost collaboration across service organisations and programs that:
- Increase aspirations of young people through skills, knowledge and learning
- increase opportunities for local women and girls.
- reduce the incidence and risk of homelessness and housing stress.
The important dates for grant applications in 20204 are as follows:
Grants open: 18th May 2024
Grants close: 24th June 2024
Applications will be notified: By 15th July 2024
Successful applicants will receive funds: By 12th August 2024
